Standing on the Giants Shoulder

Whats more interesting, than announcing a Google Service. This one is called the Google Scholar. Quoting Sir Isaac Newton's words "If i can see further, it is by standing on a Giants Shoulder". Thats exactly whats been tried in this Beta Scholar.

Google Scholar enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.

Well, the very name blocks me from using the service. You know why ! ;-)

Whats more interesting is, the Principal Engineer involved in this Scholastic activity is Mr. Anurag Acharya, an Indian name at Google.
