BSNL Broadband Prices Slash.Woo Haa !! Thats a relief.
BSNL Dataone monthly rent is Rs. 250 per month for 1 GB. Thats a biggy ! This beats all other service providers in Chennai.

Update : The news may be wrong, as Kiruba, and even the BSNL Site says, It is just 400 MB per month for Rs. 250. Thats ridiculous. But 1600-424-1600 promise that it is 1GB per month for Rs. 250. Im not sure though. Will visit the customer center and let you know.

I possibly think there is some amendment in chennai alone, as when i call up 1600-424-1600 - a toll free number for dataone services, they said that they are sure that the prices slashed to 250 and no slashes in download limit. Actually there is a wide difference in tarrif structure on the rest of the BSNL and BSNL chennai. BSNL chennai offers only 2 plans currently unlike 10 in the rest of india. In home plan, there is currently only one plan. And i dont think they dare touch it. So, the benefit of that goes to us.. however check back tomorrow. we will find out.

lavsubbu, "Sundaynna Rendu" was a banner ad in chennai without a product name. The picture was al-together conveying a different meaning (you know that !).. and after a few days, the same banner ad, showed "Dina Malar" as its product name. The news daily issues 2 papers on sunday. avvlothaan.
when you say broadband.. is it DSL or cable?
I have hathway cable net, i pay Rs.550 for 1Gb a month. but u told 250 broadband 1Gb its real(younmaiya).
I hope it works. 250 is real rock bottom.
Keerthi, yes i do take portraits but i plan to keep my blogs 'portrait' free, since they r all known people.
