These are pictures from "The Making of Chandramukhi". I cut them off from the movie, to show you how P.Vasu fares behind the screen.The Making showed P. Vasu expressing all possible emotions, and reciting them to every characters starting from Nasar, Vadivelu till Rajnikanth. I felt the character produced the exact expressions that P. Vasu showed him a minute before. Now, this is debatable, if a director curbs the freedom of the actor, or making the actor not think more.
But Iam sure we are all making a Biig Mistake. Why is that we miss out P. Vasu when we talk of great directors. I have heard only Shankar and Maniratnam being mentioned.
P. Vasu was once branded as Sentimental director. All his movies (i guess he started the "Thaikulam Aadharavu" concept) are senti oriented. We shouldnt forget the Himalayan Success of Chinna Thambi and few other successful movies from him. Chandramukhi is easily termed as a "Straight Lift" from Manichitrathazu... but I think it is delicate to make such a risky-line of movie with Super star casting on it. I've already told that "Chandramukhi" is not a promising movie, and had all chances to Flop. Thank all the Gods, we have a Super hit movie.
I was very impressed with all the expressions that P. Vasu was teaching Jyothika (belated b'day wishes). This guy is a great Actor. PVasu has completely visualized the movie before he started directing, thats what it looked like. Of course, any director would have...
But dont you think P. Vasu is a good director ? Let us wait and see his next flick.

Pvasu had already directed the kannada version "Aapta Mitra" which was a big hit and he was totally ready for the tamil one. The screenplay, dialogues, songs everything was just Ctrl C & Ctrl V from kannada to tamil. Small mistakes/oversights of kannada version was corrected in the tamil one & hence i guess Pvasu was so confident of this movie, owing to the fact that its going to be a Rajini starrer, he wanted to be more than just right in selecting jyothika...
I don't have any problems with P Vasu..if he and the team accepts that they lifted the storyline from Chandramukhi.!! Come on ..that was daylight robbery.!!!
I don't have anything agains P Vasu, but I bet, if you had the luck of getting the stills like that..you'll probably see all directors doing a good job of explaining via acting.!!
But I did enjoy the photos of P Vasu's action...and wonder how you did this.!!! Amazing work my friend.!!

P.Vasu is a good actor.. think he acted as a villain in some movie.
I have watched quite a few movie shootings (KB's Kalki being one) and every director does that behind the scenes.

Yes guys... i did realize that all directors play behind the scene.. and I never said P.Vasu is a great director. My point is He is a good director.

We shouldn't compare him with some specific directors whom you have mentioned. On his own, P.Vasu is capable of churning out movies to audience taste. But his format is acceptable for B / C centres audience mostly... with a proper masala / sentiments.
I hope his nxt venture 'Paramasivan' for Bala movies, will also have necessary ingredients to make it successful.. Ajith's career is at such a low now, that he needs a real break.
As an actor, P.Vasu has expressed really well in couple of movies. I can remember 'Seenu' in which he acted as the brother of Karthik. (If I'm not wrong, remake of malayalam 'Bharatham' - nedumudi venu's role)
