These were statements from the DMK Supremo Dr. M. Karunanidhi.. in my version, just Karunanidhi. Caste-based politics is in his blood and tongue. Why is there such an answer to such a question ? Why are the journalists so NUMB to take bullshit answers from politicians ?
When was the last time you heard J.Jayalalitha making politics out of CASTE ? I never did.

Maybe it is not really shocking to read MK's views -- but the fact is there is no need to ruffle Brahmin feathers now. MK gets away easily because JJ is perceived to be more media-unfriendly. Look how effortlessly they swept the sacred ash remark by MK under the carpet!

@prabhu karthik - here MK opposes a particular caste..that is what is all about.
As far as JJ taking in sarath is to get the votes of his caste. She never (as far as I know) talked ill about any caste.
