de-dust !

At times, when I assume responsibility to sweep the floors of my hosue, I will feel satisfied with the work only if I see dust and dirt getting accumulated. "Veettai perukkina kuppai varanum, appo dhaan seyyara velaikku palan kidaicha madhiri irukkum".

Likewise, I cleaned up Avyukta (The computer) yesterday and boy, how happy I was cleaning it. Every Indian Computer, no matter where you keep it, will accumulate a minimum of 50 gms of Dust. The pleasure of cleaning is when you scrub the soft cloth on the mother board, and the shining suface reappears.

In the lines of Murphy's laws, i think "Dust accumulates more in a place not even your thin paintbrush can reach" (Or The amount of Dust is inversely proportional to the reach). There was a colony (actually a civilization) of dust in between the Sound-card and the Internal Modem. I didnt want to remove them separately and clean it.

Guys, clean your computer at regular intervals. It doesnt do any good to the speed or performance. Just feels good to be clean. Thats all.

i hate that cleaning...
often leaves some wires/cables unplugged...something gets disturbed/scratched...
I think it is best to clean with a low power vaccum cleaner or blower...
Key boards are nasty i say! u have to clean the keys individually! Tried it once and got fed up! (it becomes kind of an addiction and then all the sudden turns into sheer boredom and irritation:)
