If by any chance you missed it, Check out the new themes in your Google Personalized Home Page. (Click on Select Theme on the right hand corner on your Personalized home page).
This theme that I have selected, changes colors with respect to time. This will how it will look in the morning, and the sun slowly moves out and all that. Just too good.

(for the ones where the theme button doesnt appear, just refresh the pages, or go to add stuff and add something...then next time u return to your hp, the new theme button will b there@!)
