Obstacles Disappear

I've posted this on my Company's internal blog and got good answers for the question that I asked. Same Question to you !

I tried my maximum to make the Grill (Which was so Granular) to disappear, at the Kancheepuram Varadarajaperumal temple, but this was the best I could get.

However, this was itself an amazing phenomenon for an Amateur like me. I vaguely understand the physics behind this picture. But someone for the benefit of everyone, explain how an object blurrs out in front of a lens element ?

If you are not interested in answering this question, you could probably answer this.

Is it Varadaraja Perumal temple or Devaraja Perumal Temple ? Whats the difference. Someone said it is "Sankararaman Temple". :)

answer lies in depth of field

Sri Varadaraja Perumal temple is main and this temple is made up of several sub shrines. This is also called the Devaraja Swamy temple.

This temple is very large, and is believed to be second in size to none other than the Tirumala-Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh.

Vatsan, OK da ! Ok da ! :P

Rasu, thanks for the info. But i have my doubts on your second statement, with Madurai and Srirangam playing for the top-seeds.

Its just appears to be blur in photos.... but practically when u had seen with ur eyes,...i mean when u had set the focus on temple, those grills would hav lost the focus... so tht point of time u r not concerned abt the Grills... Got it....
