I have a habit of watching some movie in the morning. Today, I played "The Prestige" - by Christopher Nolan.
There are two Magicians who begin their career as show-men at the same period of time. Both become rivals, eventually. Magic is their passion. They would do anything for an applause. One of these guys performs a trick, and finally gets an ovation that he had longed for years. Unfortunately, as a part of his trick, he has to remain under the stage when people applaud. This is the moment, he has been waiting for - To perform a great trick and get a thunderous applause.
Look at this picture.
Over his top - the stage. Beyond the wooden partition is the gallery, where people are standing and applauding. He can hear the roar of the applause. He has not got it, until now, at least with this intense. And Lo! He is hiding under the stage and not receiving the ovation, directly.

Ah ! Goosebumps.
Watch this movie. You'll have to scratch your head a couple of times. Worth it.

Hi, Yeah Prestige was a great movie with a confusion screenplay typical of Christopher nolan... Also watch 'The Illusionist' which is not as good as Prestige but definitely has some merits on its own with totally unexpected and making-you-fool climax...
prestige is simply superb, do read the novel if you have a chance, its as twisty as the screenplay for the movie, actually all Priest's novels are like that. Hope they make his other books into movies.
yes dude, i saw the pic, it was really superb and cool...
honestly, i never knew it was based on a novel.. but now i look forward to reading the novel and watching the movie once again...
:)
fantastic movie - Are you watching what you want to -
he talks about sacrifice to achieve things - keep things simple - sacrifice if you want to be successful
