No Software developer likes to work on a PC without Internet. 'Coz, whenever there's some error code or some bizzare trouble, the crazy mind searches for consolation from the fellow community. Google is their soul-mate.And as usual, Google Labs comes out with another flavour of its search. This time only the Software benefits out.
Google Code Search helps you find function definitions and sample code by giving you one place to search publicly accessible source code hosted on the Internet.
With various Language options available, you could restrict your search to one particular language, say C++ and get the function signatures or declarations from that language alone. Not of much interest to Mainframe Developers. My darling, COBOL, isnt listed in. However if you are a cross platform expert, you could peek into the outer world and steal logic from anywhere.
Warning : The code search has a delicate licensing policy. You might want to read it before using a piece of code that you searched for, and found out.
